SpeakerA

0m 26s

Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. Virgin Abloh kicks. These are air jordan five s. And like he was saying, it's real controversial. If you're gonna cut all this stuff out of the different holes.

SpeakerB
0m 26s
-
0m 30s

Cut the stuff out of the holes? I don't understand that. There's holes.

SpeakerA
0m 30s
-
0m 36s

I don't know. I mean, it's got stuff. He's got holes with fabric in it and you can either cut it out or leave it in.

SpeakerB
0m 36s
-
0m 38s

But why would you cut it out? I don't understand.

SpeakerA
0m 38s
-
0m 40s

I guess just to be one of the cool kids.

SpeakerB
0m 40s
-
0m 41s

So Jamie, explain.

SpeakerC
0m 41s
-
0m 42s

I'm trying to find the hole, cut.

SpeakerB
0m 43s
-
0m 46s

Out some cool kids. Oh, by the way, salute, my friend.

SpeakerA
0m 46s
-
0m 48s

Cheers. Thanks for having me back.

SpeakerB
0m 48s
-
0m 56s

Please. My honor. Thanks for being back. Now that I'm in your home state, hell yeah. So what do you do?

SpeakerC
0m 56s
-
0m 58s

But he didn't cut it out either, okay.

SpeakerB
0m 58s
-
0m 58s

This guy didn't cut it out.

SpeakerC
0m 58s
-
1m 2s

You see it with the yellow socks? That's what you're supposed to cut that little hole out here.

SpeakerB
1m 2s
-
1m 3s

You're supposed to in that little hole.

SpeakerC
1m 3s
-
1m 4s

Once you get it home.

SpeakerB
1m 4s
-
1m 11s

Why would you fucking. What? You got to bring an exacto knife to fix your shoes. That's crazy. That's the thing.

SpeakerC
1m 11s
-
1m 12s

That's the designer's idea.

SpeakerB
1m 13s
-
1m 25s

They're running out of shit. You know what it is? It's like there's so many different kinds of sneakers that you're running out of new ways to get people. So now you have to get a fucking exacto knife. Yeah.

SpeakerA
1m 25s
-
1m 43s

And cut out your circles or leave them or only cut out know. I don't know if there's any kind of hierarchy there that you might reach a point where you're a sneaker God or not. But my budy James runs this thing called off the cut little podcast about sneakers. And so he gets me hooked up on the good ones that are hard to find.

SpeakerB
1m 43s
-
1m 52s

Imagine how quick you'd run out of shit to talk about if you got a podcast just on sneakers for a long time. Jamie's a sneaker head.

SpeakerA
1m 52s
-
1m 54s

There's some serious guys out there.

SpeakerB
1m 54s
-
1m 56s

Shit about sneakers. Jamie will jump on that mic.

SpeakerA
1m 56s
-
2m 1s

Yeah. This guy James, man, he has like 5000 pair. What? Yeah.

SpeakerB
2m 1s
-
2m 14s

Oh my God. That is madness. That is madness. I don't get it. These are Cameron Haynes under armours, hovers, they're great. If you want to run mountains, I hunt in these. They're good.

SpeakerA
2m 14s
-
2m 18s

That's right. I think we were trying to get me on a little earlier. And you were still out hunting.

SpeakerB
2m 18s
-
2m 19s

Yeah, that was in.

SpeakerA
2m 19s
-
2m 20s

Yeah.

SpeakerB
2m 21s
-
2m 21s

Yeah.

SpeakerA
2m 21s
-
2m 24s

So how you dig in Texas?

SpeakerB
2m 24s
-
2m 32s

I fucking love. I. Well, I don't wish I moved here earlier, because I moved here at the right time. It was perfect time to move here. But I love it.

SpeakerA
2m 32s
-
2m 34s

Everybody's moving here.

SpeakerB
2m 34s
-
3m 11s

Whoo. You ain't kidding, man. Oracle just moved here. Elon Musk moved here. It's a mass exodus. Adam Carolla is moving here, too. I was watching some interview with him today. It's not just the taxes. La, they just got a new district attorney who is going to get rid of bail. They're not going to have cash bail anymore. They're not going to arrest people for resisting arrest. They're not going to charge people for resisting arrest. They're not going to charge people for. There's a bunch of things like loitering, drunken disorderly, things along those lines. So it's going to get wild.

SpeakerA
3m 11s
-
3m 15s

Well, as long as the California people that move here don't bring.

SpeakerB
3m 15s
-
3m 25s

That's the problem. Yeah, that's the problem, because this dude is the same dude that apparently he was doing some. The same kind of stupid shit in San Francisco.

SpeakerA
3m 25s
-
3m 40s

Well, we've got a mayor in Dallas that just passed, like, I think it's up to $1,500. They don't prosecute. So literally, somebody could walk into my merch store there in Dallas, steal 1490, $9, and walk out, and they won't even get in trouble.

SpeakerB
3m 40s
-
3m 41s

That is so ridiculous.

SpeakerA
3m 41s
-
3m 44s

Now, I wouldn't advise them to track because they might get shot, but they won't get in trouble.

SpeakerB
3m 44s
-
3m 51s

That is so ridiculous, though, that people have the lack of foresight to see how that would become a real problem.

SpeakerA
3m 51s
-
4m 1s

We're starting to get a lot of homeless problems here, too, in Texas, period. Austin's pretty bad. It's the first time I spent the night here in a long time, and I was like, wow, that's a big community of homeless.

SpeakerB
4m 1s
-
4m 36s

Well, you've got so many people out of work. I mean, what are the numbers of people out of work? It's some insane number. 30%, something crazy like that. When you have something like that, you're going to get a lot more homeless people. There's people that were, like, barely on the edge. The question is, how do you bring them back? How do you get them back into society? How do you help them out? How do you get them housing? Because some of them are drug addicts and mentally ill, but some of them are just people that are down on their luck and in this sort of environment. It's not even their fault. They didn't even do anything wrong. A lot of them.

SpeakerA
4m 36s
-
4m 40s

No, not at all. I mean, welcome to the shittiest year in history. 2020.

SpeakerB
4m 40s
-
4m 41s

I don't know about that.

SpeakerA
4m 41s
-
4m 42s

It's pretty bad, though.

SpeakerB
4m 42s
-
4m 49s

It ain't shit compared to like the black plague or the inquisition or the World War II.

SpeakerA
4m 49s
-
4m 55s

Well, for sure. But in our lifetime, it's pretty shitty.

SpeakerB
4m 55s
-
4m 59s

It's not good. It's not a good year. No, not at all.

SpeakerA
4m 59s
-
5m 1s

I'm ready for 2021.

SpeakerB
5m 1s
-
5m 5s

Think that's going to be better? You're going to be lining up for the fucking vaccination. What are you going to do, bro? You're going to wait?

SpeakerA
5m 6s
-
5m 19s

I don't know. I think I'm going to hang out. I think I'm going to hang out and see how everybody else does because I'm just not sure. I don't consider myself against the vaccine. I can just consider myself. Let's wait and see. Let's hang out.

SpeakerB
5m 19s
-
5m 31s

Yeah. I know a lot of people that have gotten the disease and I know a couple of them that it got it really bad. Real bad. Like two of them almost died.

SpeakerA
5m 31s
-
5m 32s

Wow.

SpeakerB
5m 32s
-
5m 46s

Yeah. One of them was an older gentleman and one of them was a young guy that was just worn the fuck out when he got sick and he was beat down already and not at his healthiest, but he's only in his forty s and he almost died.

SpeakerA
5m 46s
-
5m 48s

Don't tell me that we're in our 50s.

SpeakerB
5m 48s
-
5m 53s

That's what I'm saying, bro. Are you taking vitamins now? Your wife's got you working out?

SpeakerA
5m 53s
-
6m 13s

Oh, yeah, getting pumped. I'd like to say that I don't work out. I hope things work out. Now she's got me going up to the gym and upstairs and like she said a minute ago, it's like I'm walking the Green Mile. Like I'm going to death. I'm like walking up the stairs all sad and slumped over.

SpeakerB
6m 13s
-
6m 42s

Dude, you got a trainer. And I'm telling you, if you just stick with it, once you start seeing yourself looking good, you start getting some abs. The hell are you talking about, Joe Jack? You look better. Better than the already pristine condition you find yourself in currently on the outside. The inside, your liver is probably strong as fuck. Your liver probably looks like a linebacker. So what's happening? Your show, man. What are you doing? What's the latest?

SpeakerA
6m 42s
-
6m 44s

Oh, shit. You're just going to go right for the big one.

SpeakerB
6m 44s
-
6m 53s

Get in there, man. All right, first of all, I love your show. I've been loving it for years. It's fun. And I'm a giant muscle car fan, so it's right up my alley. But what's the latest?

SpeakerA
6m 54s
-
7m 18s

Well, everybody hold on to your hat out there. Fast and loud is no more. I have exited discovery, and I'm a free agent. What? We're going to be doing some cool things in 2021, and it just was a perfect storm, so to speak. It was time for me to expand and grow a little bit, and I'd kind of gotten to the top of that mountain being discovery, and there wasn't anything else for me to do there.

SpeakerB
7m 18s
-
7m 19s

Wow.

SpeakerA
7m 19s
-
7m 28s

I used this year to kind of rethink and reshape what I want to do in the future. So fast and loud. No mus.

SpeakerB
7m 29s
-
7m 30s

Jeez Louise, man.

SpeakerA
7m 31s
-
7m 31s

Eight years, though.

SpeakerB
7m 32s
-
7m 33s

That's a long run.

SpeakerA
7m 33s
-
7m 35s

300 ish episodes.

SpeakerB
7m 37s
-
7m 38s

That's a lot.

SpeakerA
7m 38s
-
7m 48s

There's only so many times you can buy a car, fix a car, sell a car, and it was time to make some changes to make it more fun. And so the stuff we've got coming out in 2021 is going to be quite a blast.

SpeakerB
7m 48s
-
7m 49s

What are you wearing?

SpeakerA
7m 50s
-
7m 53s

I don't want to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.

SpeakerB
7m 53s
-
7m 54s

Wonder Woman bracelets.

SpeakerA
7m 55s
-
7m 55s

Yeah.

SpeakerB
7m 57s
-
7m 59s

Shaking off bullets with those.

SpeakerA
7m 59s
-
8m 4s

Yeah. A lady asked me one time, she goes, don't those bother you when they make noise? And says, they only make noise when I do this.

SpeakerB
8m 4s
-
8m 6s

Did you tell that to her?

SpeakerA
8m 6s
-
8m 8s

Yeah. It's a good joke.

SpeakerB
8m 8s
-
8m 9s

Uncomfortable conversation.

SpeakerA
8m 9s
-
8m 12s

She thought it was funny. It was back in my single.

SpeakerB
8m 12s
-
8m 12s

Right person.

SpeakerA
8m 12s
-
8m 13s

Well, I'm married now.

SpeakerB
8m 13s
-
8m 14s

Right person. Yeah.

SpeakerA
8m 16s
-
8m 32s

I think I'm going to end up doing a podcast because there's not a whole lot going on in my genre in the podcast world. I mean, I know some guys are doing it and they're doing well, but I've never been allowed to before. So you got to realize that when I signed my deal with disco was almost ten years ago.

SpeakerB
8m 32s
-
8m 34s

Is that disco?

SpeakerA
8m 34s
-
8m 39s

Yeah. So discovery didn't. Social media didn't even exist, hardly.

SpeakerB
8m 39s
-
8m 40s

Yeah.

SpeakerA
8m 40s
-
8m 46s

So I signed off on all media. So up to this point, until literally.

SpeakerB
8m 46s
-
8m 48s

All media, including social media.

SpeakerA
8m 48s
-
8m 51s

It wasn't even social media back then. I mean, what is it, like Myspace or something?

SpeakerB
8m 51s
-
9m 3s

Well, I was doing something on another network back in the day, and they wanted to get control of my social media. That was, like, part of the deal, and they thought it was just like an easy yes.

SpeakerA
9m 3s
-
9m 3s

No, it's not.

SpeakerB
9m 3s
-
9m 10s

I was like, you can eat shit. There's no way you could pay for it. But it was ridiculous. They wanted to use it to promote other shows on their network.

SpeakerA
9m 11s
-
9m 11s

Correct.

SpeakerB
9m 11s
-
9m 21s

I'm like, what are you talking about? And they're like, well, everybody else lets us do it. I go, I have millions of followers. Like, there's no fucking chance you're just going to get access to that for free.

SpeakerA
9m 21s
-
9m 23s

Now. I had the same conversation several times.

SpeakerB
9m 23s
-
9m 35s

It's a weird conversation, right? It's like, you know, they're being weasily, like, you know, this is a valuable thing. Hey, no big deal, Richard, we just like to use your entire social media to promote a lot of other discovery programs.

SpeakerA
9m 35s
-
9m 36s

No big deal. Yeah, no big deal.

SpeakerB
9m 36s
-
9m 38s

You're cool with that, right? Okay, good. Sign here.

SpeakerA
9m 38s
-
9m 53s

Well, see, they try that, but I couldn't post myself. I couldn't do things of myself for a lot of the time. Like, if I went out and bought a car and my camera crew wasn't with me, and so I took my camera phone and whatever, and I wanted to post about it. I wasn't able to do that.

SpeakerB
9m 53s
-
9m 55s

You weren't allowed?

SpeakerA
9m 55s
-
9m 59s

No. Yeah, it was pretty rough, but that's ridiculous.

SpeakerB
9m 59s
-
10m 0s

But that would just boost up your social
